Domino's to open six motorway service station sites
Domino's Pizza has agreed a deal to open six motorway sites as part of a new roadside takeaway and dining concept.
The six new kiosks, which will offer the same menu offered on the high street, will be within Extra's food court buildings at M40 J2 Beaconsfield, A1M J10 Baldock, A14/M11 Cambridge, A1M J17 Peterborough, M5 J28 Cullompton and M65 J4 Blackburn with Darwen motorway service areas.
The first will open this month at Beaconsfield, with the rest to be rolled out in the next two months.
Andrew Long, chief executive of Extra MSA Group said: "Extra is delighted to be working with Domino's which we regard as the dominant brand in its sector. The addition of Domino's to Extra's food courts will complement the range of substantial and popular brands already represented."
Julia Poulson, head of property at Domino's added: "Our mission is to bring pizza to the people where and when they want it. Opening stores in Extra Service Areas is a great way to help us take that mission to the next level."
Domino's was advised by Plus Shops Retail and Caroline Smith at Harvey Ingram Shakespeares.
