Doug Tetley to be keynote speaker at Arena event

Doug Tetley, the managing director of Delaware North UK, will be the keynote speaker at Arena's new ‘Behind the Scenes' event at Wembley Stadium next month.

Tetley will give foodservice and hospitality professionals an insight into the catering challenges being faced at stadia, airports, parks and visitor attractions.

Attendees will also be taken on a behind the scenes guided tour of the sporting arena as part of the foodservice and hospitality industry networking association event on 6 May.

Tetley joined Delaware North in April 2014 from catering company Searcys, where he was managing director for four years. The firm was acquired in its entirety by Westbury Street Holdings (WSH) in July 2014 for an undisclosed sum.

Searcys was put on the market in November 2013 with a price tag of £25m to £30m and Tetley was instrumental in bringing about the sale of the firm.

In his current role he heads up the executive team in rolling out the UK business strategy. Delaware North provides hospitality to a range of venues including Wembley Stadium.

She added: "As with all Arena events, the ‘Behind the Scenes' event format has been specially designed to maximise the attendee interaction opportunities. From the guided tour and drinks reception through to the three-course lunch, there will be ample time to connect with colleagues and I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about."

Kicking off at 10am, the one-day event will include a drinks reception, a three-course seated lunch with wine and Tetley's post-lunch address, as well as the guided tour.

Tickets cost £145 +VAT for Arena members and £195 +VAT for non-members.

Tables of 10 cost £1,305 +VAT for Arena members and £1,755 +Vat for non-members.
