Drake & Morgan to open second Refinery site in Regent's Place
London-based restaurant and bar company Drake & Morgan is to open a second site named the Refinery in the city's Regent's Place.
The new morning-to-night venue will open in spring this year, and will be the company's eighth restaurant overall. It marks a return to the name of the group's first ever site, the Refinery on Bankside.
The Regent's Place location will be spread across one floor, and will include a bar, restaurant, delicatessen and outdoor terrace.
The décor will focus on light-coloured woods and bright colours, created by the brand's long-time design partners, Fusion.
Drake & Morgan was first founded in 2008 by Jillian MacLean, and is named after English explorer Sir Francis Drake and Welsh privateer Captain Morgan. It has wide expansion aims, having announced in mid-2013 that it could grow to as many as 70 sites after a £30m buy-out backed by Bowmark Capital.
Its current other sites comprise the Parlour in Canada Square Park, the Folly near Bank, the Anthologist near St Paul's, the Drift on Bishopsgate, the Fable near Farringdon, and the Happenstance on Ludgate Hill.
