Dupuis switches to emerging markets at Compass

Compass Group has announced that Alain Dupuis will take on a new role as chief executive of its emerging markets business, stepping down as a director of the company.

Dupuis will begin the role, which covers China, India, South-east Asia, Russia and Turkey, from 1 October.

The announcement comes after a series of board changes within Compass this year.

In May it was announced that chairman Sir Francis Mackay would step down in February 2006.

Don Davenport, chief executive officer of the UK and Ireland division, announced his retirement in July and is to be succeeded by Peter Harris.

July also saw Clive Grundy leave his job as human resources director. His position has been left vacant.
