Eight hospitality businesses feature in Sunday Times Top 100
Eight hospitality businesses, including the Savoy, Brookwood Partnership and Red Carnation Hotels, have made it on to the 2012 Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For list, published yesterday.
Contract caterers Connect Catering and Catermasters were new entries to the list, alongside Alan Yau's Busaba Eathai, and Living Ventures Restaurants, while Botanic Inns climbed to 35 after being ranked 73 in 2011.
Sue Parfett, managing partner at Brookwood which was listed in 2008 and 2010, said "We pride ourselves on the development opportunities available within Brookwood and in 2011 our employees undertook more than 16,000 hours of training.
"Achieving this accolade for the third time and increasing our listing is a clear indication that Brookwood is truly one of the best companies to work for in the UK."
Red Carnation celebrated its debut in the Sunday Times list. "Being a family-run hotel collection, our employees are at the heart of our whole operation," commented managing director Jonathan Raggett.
"Our staff's satisfaction is what ensures we live up to and embody our guest philosophy of ‘no request too large, no detail too small,' and their happiness and motivation is paramount."
More than 1,000 companies entered the competition, which is designed to measure employee engagement by analysing 54 questions across Leadership, Wellbeing, My Manager, My Team, My Company, Personal Growth, Giving Something Back and Fair Deal.
