Elior to offer ‘Service Champions' the chance to study for an NVQ
Elior will offer its employees the chance to study for an NVQ in customer service, the company announced today.
The contract caterer, which said it is dedicated to delivering top-level service to its customers, is working with training partner Babcock to deliver the NVQ to more than 250 qualifying Elior Service Champions.
Michele Moore, head of people development at Elior UK, explained: "Our people are at the heart of our business. By giving them the opportunity to study for an NVQ, a national professional qualification, we're not only recognising their importance to the business but demonstrating our commitment to their personal development."
The NVQ will be open to all Elior's service champions - employees who have been chosen to ensure Elior's service standards are met.
Arran McDowell, HR director for Elior UK, added: "Our aim is to make Elior the best place to work in the industry.
"We've already got the best staff retention in the industry - 40% compared with an average of 20% - and the opportunity to study for the customer service NVQ will further equip our people with the tools to do a great job."
