Elior UK wins £1.5m deal at Wiltshire's biggest secondary school

Foodservice firm Elior has won a three-year contract worth £1.5m to provide catering and cleaning services to Wiltshire's largest secondary school.

The contract with Sheldon School, which has around 1,800 pupils and 200 staff, includes catering for all five of their outlets including a recently refurbished diner, sixth form café, canteen and two grab-and-go outlets.

The main canteen will see a fresh menu every week of hot meal deals for £2.25, sandwiches and salads. The Deli and Piazza will serve hot snacks and meal boxes to take away. In the Diner, Elior concepts Pasta Kitchen, Pizza Foundry, Wrap Bamboo and a Fresh Salad bar will be introduced. There will also be a makeover in the sixth form common room to create an all-day coffee bar with more grab and go options.

Neil Spurdell, head teacher, said: "Sheldon School has an outstanding reputation in the local community and has been recognised not only for the education of students but the quality of services outside the classroom. That's why we feel Elior is a great match for the school."

Paul Fisher, director of education, Elior UK says: "We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Sheldon School. We will continually work with students, parents and staff to keep the menu fresh and exciting, as providing a great experience for the students is our main priority."
