Elior has won a five-year catering contract at vocational training specialist Henley College Coventry.
The appointment comes as the college undergoes a major refurbishment programme, as Paul Fisher, Elior director of education, explained: "The college, which has over 5,000 students and 408 teaching staff, is currently undergoing a major £7m re-building and modernisation programme to improve the physical environment and facilities.
"This includes refurbishment of the refectory to provide a modern dining experience for customers."
Elior has introduced a range of new food and beverage concepts to deliver a high street style offer, including a design your own burger concept called Heavenly Burger; handmade pizzas at Pizza Foundry; prepared sandwiches and salads from GO!SASA; and ChU*, a street food offer based on pan-Asian and American street food.
The ‘We proudly serve Starbucks' brand has also been introduced, featuring Starbucks Fairtrade hot beverages and iced drinks.
Nigel Dunnill, head of hospitality & creative studies, Henley College Coventry commented: "Elior has mobilised our contract with a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness. Staff have been supported well in the transition from the incumbent and the quality of décor, food and service has improved significantly to date."
