Elior's Azure seals £13m deal with Salford City Stadium
Elior's stadia business Azure has scored a £13m signing at Salford City Stadium, which opens next year.
The 10-year contract will see Azure provide match-day and non-match-day event catering for up to 1,000 delegates at Manchester's newest conference and events venue, which will also be home to the Salford City Reds Super League Rugby team.
The caterer will also be responsible for marketing the 12,000 capacity stadium, which is due to be completed in December, with the first match kicking off in February next year.
Azure chef Steven Fitzsimmons will oversee the catering alongside experienced general manager Steven Reeve and his team.
Reeve said: "We will also be launching a high-quality hospitality offer to supporters in the 750-capacity main suite, the Presidential Suite and 12 executive boxes."
Andy Orr, Salford City Stadium director, said: "Azure really stood out from the competition thanks to their flexible approach to catering and their dedicated team.
"Their vision to work with us in growing our non-match-day business is impressive and we're looking forward to working together over the next 10 years to turn our vision into reality."
