Elior's facilities management managing director quits
The managing director of Elior UK's Integrated Services division quietly left the business late last year, Caterersearch has learnt.
Andrew Mortimer, previously sales director at Elior UK, assumed the managing director role at Elior's newly created facilities management (FM) focused division after a restructuring in May 2007.
But Mortimer is believed to have left Elior late last year to join FM firm Emcor as national sales manager. Elior confirmed it would be replacing him but is taking its time to find the right person to run Integrated Services.
In the interim, chief executive Mike Audis is overseeing the operation, and earlier this year John McEwen, previously a sales manager at Elior's facilites management business, was promoted to managing director of Elior Defence Contracts, which makes up the lion's share of the Integrated Services division.
The Integrated Services division also comprises vending services and its Marks & Spencer contract and has an annual turnover of around £50m.
In April, it signed a £3m deal to feed police and staff at Norfolk Constabulary.
