Foodservice Cateys Extra Mile award shortlist announced

Caterer and Hotelkeeper has unveiled the shortlist for the Foodservice Cateys Extra Mile award.

The Foodservice Cateys were launched as an extension to the well-respected Cateys, which this year celebrated their 30th anniversary, and following the triumphant success of the Hotel Cateys, now in their seventh year.

Aimed at celebrating foodservice employees across the UK, the Foodservice Cateys have been created to recognise and reward those individuals and teams that work tirelessly to make sure their business delivers an exceptional service day in, day out, as determined by those best placed to decide: the industry.

The shortlist for the Extra Mile award is determined following nominations from their industry peers, with the winner chosen by the Caterer and Hotelkeeper editorial team.

The winners of all 19 categories remain a closely guarded secret until they are announced at a glittering event on 11 October at London's Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel.

The three finalists are:

  • Gerard Jacob, catering manager, Vacherin
  • Vera Mirescu, catering manager, Host Management
  • Shirley Moore, paediatric catering supervisor, Royal Marsden Hospital
