FoodShow wins £3m Lambeth Palace catering contract
Catering and events firm FoodShow has won a £3m contract to deliver external event catering and production and event management services at Lambeth Palace.
The five-year deal comes after the Palace, which is the London residence for the Archbishop of Canterbury, opened its spaces up to external events for the first time in nearly 800 years.
FoodShow is also tasked with working alongside the venue's in-house sales and marketing team to promote the facilities to the corporate and private market.
Andrew Gosling, FoodShow co-founder and chief executive, commented: "Lambeth Palace is an exquisite venue in central London with myriad spaces; each with their own individual charm and a vast private garden ideal for large scale events, company fun days and outside team building without having to leave the city. There isn't another venue in London that can offer this."
"We are thrilled to become the preferred catering partner at the venue and look forward to producing excellent dining experiences with a focus on provenance, quality and superior service."
Located on the south bank of the River Thames, Lambeth Palace has a number of internal event spaces, including the Great Hall, which has recently reopened following an extensive refurbishment, as well as nine acres of surrounding grounds featuring a permanent marquee structure. The event spaces will formally launch on 1 October 2015.
Louise Donovan, head of events at Lambeth Palace, added: "FoodShow shares our passion and commitment to put Lambeth Palace on the map as a destination for events. This coupled with FoodShow's creativity for producing catering with innovative menus and excellent customer service makes for a great partnership."
