Former Catey winner teams up to provide catering at historic Norwich venue

Former Catey winner Richard Hughes has teamed up with operator Iain Wilson to provide catering at Norwich's historic Assembly House.

The Georgian Assembly House on Theatre Street in the heart of the city operates as a venue for performing arts, as well as an event and conferencing space.

It is also available for hire for weddings and incorporates Ivory's restaurant and café bar.

Hughes, chef proprietor of the Lavender House in Brundall was, with his wife Sue, the recipient of the 2006 Best Independent Marketing Campaign Catey.

The chef already has a joint business venture with Wilson, The Pigs pub in Edgefield.

Wilson, who owns Byfords Café and the King's Head pub in Norfolk's Holt, said:

"We are delighted to have this opportunity to bring our expertise to the city centre. The Assembly House is a beautiful, historic building which boasts a great reputation we plan to build on be enhancing the overall offering."
