International hospitality firm the One Group has appointed Adam Elliott, the former president of UK operations at Centerplate, as its chief operating officer.
Elliott has over 30 years' experience in the leisure and hospitality sector. He stepped up to the role of chief executive of Lindley Group (now Centerplate) in September 2010, having previously worked at Elior, before leaving in 2014.
At the One Group, which owns the STK restaurant brand, Elliott will be responsible for driving the company in Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA), identifying growth opportunities and new market sectors to target.
This brief includes extending the group's geographical reach into new territories, as well as identifying new opportunities within the One Group's existing markets.
Luxury hospitality and sporting occasions will become a focus alongside large-scale live events and festivals, playing on Elliott's experience working for Centerplate.
Jonathan Segal, founder and chief executive officer at the One Group, said: "We have big visions for the company and have been working on ways to create a step change for our growth plans. Adam was the stand-out candidate for this key role and I am delighted to welcome him to our company. He will play a significant part in the further development and evolution of our business. He has already had a significant impact and I am very much looking forward to working with him to deliver our ambitious plans and growth programme."
Commenting on his appointment, Elliott said: "I am delighted to be joining the One Group. It is a business that is highly focused on delivering an exceptional hospitality experience and has significant opportunities across the EMEA regions. It's a crucial time in the company's development. I am excited about working with Jonathan and the team to build on what has been created and its existing, high-quality operations by helping the company drive out across Europe and beyond."
The One Group develops and operates food and beverage and hospitality management in venues such as hotels and casinos, while operating flagship restaurant brand STK worldwide.
