Frank Coughlan named executive head chef at Wembley
Frank Coughlan has been officially unveiled as the executive head chef at Wembley Stadium.
The appointment by stadium caterer Delaware North, first revealed by Caterer in May, sees Coughlan heading up a 250-strong culinary team.
He joins from Facilities Management Catering, the catering arm of the sports and leisure division of Compass Group.
In the role, Coughlan had responsibility for catering at the tennis championships at Wimbledon, and last year oversaw the Ryder Cup at the K Club in Ireland.
At Wembley, he is responsible for all 98 kitchens that supply meals for the food kiosks on the public concourses as well as other hospitality operations, ranging from deli and brasserie to fine dining.
Simon Dobson, managing director of Delaware North, said: "It's a coup for us to have Frank join the Wembley Stadium culinary team. We can only benefit from his skills and expertise."
Coughlan said: "Wembley Stadium is one of the biggest and best stadiums in the world and it's a wonderful feeling to be here. It is a great challenge but I have an excellent team of professionals to work with."
