Genuine Dining Co wins RAC deal from Restaurant Associates
The Genuine Dining Co has snaffled a £2.1m catering contract at RAC from incumbent operator Restaurant Associates.
The three-year deal with an optional two-year extension is a joint venture with facilities management provider Kier Services.
The caterer will provide staff restaurant and hospitality services to around 2,000 RAC employees across three sites in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
Chris Mitchell, managing director at the Genuine Dining Co, credited the caterer's high-street style and close working relationship with Kier for the contract win.
"We deliver a lot of our food from our food hub in Kent and this means that we can offer a fantastic and consistent product, something that we believe is hard to find in the contract catering world," he added.
The Genuine Dining Co was previously known as Yes Dining until last year when former PizzaExpress and Channel 4 chairman Luke Johnson acquired a majority stake in the business from the Bright Futures Group.
