Genuine Dining Company launches care sector business

Contract caterer the Genuine Dining Co has launched a new division to cater for the care sector.

Signature Dining will be headed up by former Caterplus managing director Paul Robottom. It will target catering provision in the care, assisted living and retirement village sectors.

Robottom said that mergers within the sector had left a gap for an independent operator with specialist experience in the sector.

He added: "At Signature Dining our vision is to enhance the everyday lives of our customers, by offering a broad range of fresh, home style seasonal menus, cooked from scratch daily, prepared with passion and served with professional courtesy, by an empowered team in a fun environment."

The Genuine Dining Co will provide the infrastructure to support the new business.

Managing director Chris Mitchell said: "We are delighted to back this new venture. Signature Dining embraces all of our values. As soon as I met with Paul, I immediately recognised his passion for the industry. The Genuine Dining Co fully support Paul's vision to enhance everyday life with great food."
