Global Infusions Group caters at British Summer Time Hyde Park
Global Infusion Group (GIG) catered for artists including Stevie Wonder, Take That, and Carole King at this year's British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park, London.
The group's corporate and private party planning, catering and event design division, named GIG…fyi (Feeding Your Imagination) was appointed by outdoor entertainment company AEG Live.
It was tasked with taking care of the back stage requirements for a series of concerts from 1-10 July.
More than 2,500 meals were served to performers and their supporting staff from a dining marquee which was transformed into a summertime garden.
Katy Turner, operations manager for GIG…fyi, said: "This was our fourth successive year supporting Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park which is one of our favourite events of the season. There was a fabulous line-up of stars including the legendary Stevie Wonder for us to feed. We can't wait to be back again next year."
GIG…fyi's temporary kitchen served hundreds of full English breakfasts with cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and fresh breads. Throughout the day the chefs provided a rolling buffet for lunches.
In addition to the food and drinks it also supplied the entire decor, dining furniture, buffet set up, service ware and some of the lighting.
Global Infusion Group won the Event Caterer of the Year Award at the 2015 Foodservice Cateys.
