Glyn Ingram joins CH&Co Group as regional managing director

CH&Co Group has appointed Glyn Ingram as regional managing director to oversee operations throughout the North of England and Scotland.

He will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the business in the region, which includes more than 100 units and a team of operations directors and managers.

Ingram joins from Northumbria University where he was assistant director for campus services with a £20m budget and responsibilities including multi-site catering operations and a 5,000-student accommodation portfolio.

He has more than two decades of foodservice and hospitality experience, including operational roles both in the UK and overseas.

Ingram previously held senior roles at Aramark for 14 years, including catering director at the Beijing Olympics where he headed up the athletes' dining, and operations director at the London 2012 Olympic Village. There he led a team of 4,500, serving 1.6 million customers in just over 60 operating days.

Ingram said: "This is a fantastic time to join CH&Co Group and I'm thrilled to be part of the team. The business has evolved at pace and the prospects are very exciting.

"I've got a great opportunity to draw on my experience working on both sides of the fence, as a contract caterer and an in-house operator, and showcase my operational skills and vision for the benefit of the business and its clients.

"There is also real talent within the teams in my region and I look forward to working with them to develop skills and bring out the best in everyone."

Bill Toner, CEO of CH&Co Group, added: "We're delighted to welcome Glyn as regional managing director. His operational experience and reputation is second to none and he will be a huge asset to the team.

"His knowledge of the North of England and Scotland will also be invaluable in generating business growth across this region. As CH&Co Group continues to grow, it's vital that we have the right teams in place to develop good operational solutions for our customers and ensure we continue to be best in class.

"Glyn exemplifies this approach and we look forward to harnessing his expertise and seeing his team develop under his strong leadership."
