Google partners with Adtrak for UK digital restaurant event

Restaurateurs will be able to get advice on creating an effective website at an event hosted by Google and digital media agency Adtrak on 16 July.

The Main Menu event is aimed at those in the industry who want to know how to position and brand their websites to engage with customers and increase footfall.

Topics will range from personalised branding to the effective use of photography and interface.

Speakers include Google's restaurant industry manager Charlotte Sutton; executive chef at London's Belgraves hotel, Sophie Michell; YouTube food publisher manager Yalin Solmaz; Velocity chief executive Alex McDonald; and social media manager at the Jamie Oliver Group, Subi Gnanaseharam.

Chris Robinson, managing director of Adtrak, said: "The traditional shop or restaurant front has now gone digital. With the industry seeing an influx of online review pages, and restaurants creating personalised apps, patrons are now making a decision as to where they will eat via online channels."

The event will take place at Google's London office at 1-13 St Giles High Street on 16 July from 2pm to 5.30pm.
