HCA reveals winners of 2017 awards
The NHS in Ayrshire and Arran has been highlighted as offering some of the best hospital catering services in the UK after carrying off two awards in the annual Hospital Caterers Association (HCA) awards announced yesterday.
Nicola McIvor, catering production & services manager, NHS Ayrshire and Arran, was named Caterer of the Year, and the region's production and services department was presented with the Staff, Health and Wellbeing award.
The two awards were among six presented at the awards ceremony, held during the two-day HCA National Leadership and Development Forum, at the Titaniac Belfast in Northern Ireland. The awards aim to recognise the commitment and contributions of the association's members.
Phil Shelley, national chair of HCA, said: "The prestigious awards publicly acknowledge the exceptional commitment and outstanding contributions from our members who have demonstrated excellence and innovation over the past 12 months."
The evening raised £4,800 in aid of the Mary Peters Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
