HCM Group announces £8m of catering contracts

Foodservice operator HCM Group has bagged nearly £6.8m in new business and retained £1.4m of existing business over the past two months, the company said.

Among the new and retained clients are Oxfam, Prodrive in Banbury, Wiley in Bognor Regis, and two independent schools, in St Albans and Cambridge, for Bell Educational Services.

The largest new win is a five-year deal with the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, which features an 858-capacity auditorium as well as a 300-capacity flexible second space. HCM will operate two public bars, a restaurant, a café and event catering.

The company, which was formed last year when caterers Host and Catermasters merged, announced £14m of new and retained business in March.

Tony Carr (pictured), HCM Group's managing director, commented: "The integration of both Host and Catermasters is now complete and it's good to be working as one company and achieving success like this.

"The retention is great news because we've been working for some of these clients for nearly a decade now and it demonstrates that our clients have confidence in us and that we deliver quality service and value for them.

"Our contract win with Wiley in Bognor Regis arguably demonstrates both retention and new business success seeing as this is a new site extension to a contract we have held with them in Oxford for over 15 years. The new contract wins also show that our offer is providing what clients are looking for in terms of great food, great people, innovation and value for money."
