The CSD-1012UC and CSD -2012UC are the biggest sellers from Hobart's eight-strong range of gas and electric convection steamers. The two electric models - 10-rack and 20-rack combis, respectively -offer four cooking modes (convection, full steam, combination and lower-temperature steam) and can store up to 100 programmes with 10 cooking phases (steaming, poaching, boiling, baking, grilling, braising, sautéing, toasting, roasting and regeneration). Features include automatic rapid heat-up and cool-down built-in auto-clean with the option of three cleaning cycles an energy-saving switch to half power once the required temperature has been reached a double-glazed heat-reflective door that cuts energy consumption by 40% and a motorised two-stage door handle to vent the steam.
