They are Wendy Bartlett, Petra Clayton, Michelle Houghton, Geoff Booth and Heiko Figge.

Bartlett is managing director of foodservice company Bartlett Mitchell, and was previously operations director for Compass. Clayton is managing director of Custard Communications, with more than two decades' experience in hospitality and tourism marketing, and also a qualified chef.

Figge joins the IoH as head of hospitality and leisure at the Moorfield Group, and was previously managing director of Guoman & Thistle hotels, with senior roles at Paramount hotels and Marriott.

Executive council chair Arthur de Haast, said: "I am delighted to welcome such a distinguished group of professionals to our Executive Council and I am very much looking forward to working with them over the coming months and years."

With a 75-year history, the IoH is the professional association for managers and aspiring workers in the hospitality and tourism industries, and has members in more than 100 countries worldwide.
