Institute of Hospitality launches dedicated committee for Wales
The Institute of Hospitality (IoH) has established a dedicated committee for Wales, the Institute of Hospitality Cymru.
Chaired by Dana Evans, the new committee draws on membership from across Wales and is designed to better contribute to the development of tourism and hospitality related policies within the country.
The move comes two years after the IoH established the Institute of Hospitality Scotland in 2009.
Commenting on the launch, Evans said: "As Wales now has its own government in the Welsh Assembly, we feel that it is the right time to create a single countrywide representation for the IoH, rather than be based on the previous two-branch structure.
"The new arrangements will provide an opportunity for greater networking and communication for Institute members in the principality, and the new committee will look forward to working with members to arrange regional events to encourage this."
