Invitation to tender for new catering concession, Hepworth Wakefield

The Hepworth Wakefield, Yorkshire's major new art gallery on Wakefield's newly-regenerated waterfront, is commencing a tender process to appoint an experienced company to meet the catering requirements of the venue.

Opening in spring 2011, the £27m Hepworth Wakefield designed by David Chipperfield Architects, will provide state of the art visitor facilities including a new restaurant overlooking the River Calder, learning centre and a 100-seat auditorium. The elegant, fully fitted ground floor restaurant will have over 80 covers and stunning views of the river and its dramatic weir. The Trustees are letting the gallery's
prestigious reception areas for a unique opportunity to operate the restaurant and develop a premier event business.
