ISS Eaton wins £19m catering deal with O2
Business and industry (B&I) caterer ISS Eaton has won a £19m deal to provide catering services for mobile phone operator O2, and has revealed plans to make a number of acquisitions.
The O2 deal, worth £3.8m in annual turnover over five years, is the caterer's largest win to date and will see it provide catering services at seven sites including Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and head office in Slough. Previously run by Compass Group's Eurest, the contract includes staff feeding and hospitality, as well as some fine dining.
ISS Eaton boss Simon Titchener has also revealed that the company is in advanced talks to purchase a community meals provider to bolster its Fresh CM division, plus an event caterer and a B&I caterer.
The deals, if successful, will more than double ISS Eaton's turnover from £24m last year to about £60m.
Titchener, who joined the firm six months ago from Aramark, wants to make the company a £100m-turnover heavyweight.
The caterer has also taken the catering contract for foreign exchange company Travelex's head office in Peterborough from rival BaxterStorey, in a deal worth more than £500,000 over two years. These recent deals follow other wins, including Lego and consumer goods group Sara Lee, both in Slough, Berkshire, each valued at £350,000 in annual turnover.
Eaton Group was taken over by ISS Facility Services in a £15m deal in September 2004.
