Jockey Club Catering has appointed Craig Cadwaladr as its new general manager at Haydock Park Racecourse in Merseyside.

Cadwaladr joins Haydock Park from Chester Racecourse where he has been working for the past 11 years. His most recent role was deputy head of catering, a post he has held for more than two years.

In his new role he will oversee all catering operations at the racecourse and will lead a team of up to 580 managers, chefs and frontline staff.

During race fixtures he will be responsible for the management of the racecourse's 34 restaurants and bars, 30 private boxes and eight public catering facilities.

Nick Campbell, managing director for Jockey Club Catering, said: "We are delighted to welcome Craig to Haydock Park and are excited to see his vision and commitment to racecourse catering shine through.

"His extensive knowledge and experience of what racegoers expect will ensure a winning combination of thrilling horse racing, fine cuisine and magnificent facilities at Haydock Park."
