Just Hospitality wins two more years with US law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett
Just Hospitality has extended its catering contract with US law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, based at London's CityPoint, for a further two years.
Worth £700,000, the deal is an extension to the five years that Just Hospitality has already operated on site, where it manages meeting room services, events and the staff deli bar.
The caterer also operates the CityPoint Health Club and Spa Cafe and services three other law firms.
Managing director Dean Kennett said: "While the larger caterers are ruthlessly pursuing the high-volume contracts, smaller clients are feeling they are being left out and are looking for a more personal service.
"We welcome any enquiries from B&I clients that are fed up with their invoices not matching the service they receive."
Just Hospitality also announced a recent partnership arrangement with Walthamstow Catering College. Students are offered four-week placements at the caterer's units across London.
Just Hospitality views this move as a valuable connection to grass-roots chefs and new talent and vital for developing scope and trends within the industry and said it is hoped that one or two of the candidates will join on a more permanent basis on Government Apprenticeships.
Kennett described this as an important building block in the recently established foothold built in Walthamstow. Just Hospitality is preparing for the launch of the concession contract that was awarded by the council in January for the William Morris Gallery Tea Room & Events in Walthamstow.
The museum has undergone a £3m revamp with a new glass-roofed tea room, which will overlook Park Royal.
Just Hospitality has recently relocated its office and production kitchen to south London, where the unit is used to house chef schools, and supply materials and services for smaller units and events.
With a new kitchen capacity of 2,500sq ft, Just Hospitality is now tendering for events of up to 1,000 guests, which brings much larger events within the ambit of their mission to expand their bespoke service into a wider range of the commercial sector.
