Keele University chef wins Dessert of the Year competition
University chef Chris Corbishley, 23, has won the Dessert of the Year competition run by the Association of National Pastry Chefs.
The pastry chef at Keele Hall beat competitors from London's Savoy and Claridge's hotels to the title.
It was the first time a pastry chef not working in a hotel has won the title, which is sponsored by Lady Rose Champagne.
He wins a trip to the champagne's producer Duval Leroy's operation in France, work experience with a Master Patissier in Paris and the Michael Nadell Trophy.
His winning creation was a warm raspberry soufflé, raspberry sorbet and white chocolate vanilla mousse.
