Kosher caterer Sobell rebrands as Food Story
Kosher foodservice firm Sobell Catering has rebranded as Food Story (London), following its change of ownership.
The company, which was previously operated by Carole Sobell Ltd and the Sobell family for three generations, is now owned by Jonathan Hammé, Justin Randall and Michael Paradise.
As part of the rebrand, the company has made a "significant" investment in its kitchen facilities, central production unit, team and brand creation.
Matt Rickard has joined the business as managing director and is being supported by Lucy Gemmell, who founded caterer Rhubarb, and executive chef David Swann, formerly at Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck.
Rickard most recently worked at the Mandarin Oriental Group, and prior to that at event caterer Absolute Taste.
He commented: "The entire Food Story Team is immensely proud of the transformation that the company has gone through over the past 12 months and I am so excited to be surrounded by such culinary, operational and planning talent. We really feel that the next chapter has begun.
"With the team in place we can position ourselves in a totally different place in the market - offering truly fine kosher dining."
