Kudos in £4.5m Brighton Centre catering deal

Kudos has won a four-year catering and hospitality contract extension, worth over £4.5m, at the Brighton Centre.

Kudos has held the contract as the preferred on-site caterer since its original deal with Brighton & Hove council in 2004.

The company now intends to introduce new café concepts in the Centre, including in the commercial, conferencing and retail outlets. It will aim to evolve and grow with the venue, and adapt to its varied audiences and needs.

Brighton & Hove Council praised Kudos for what it called its "fresh approach" and its attention to detail in its plan for the next four years.

Jon Pryce, managing director of Kudos, said: "The Kudos team at Brighton are extremely passionate and committed. Our creative projects team were equally excited by the opportunity to introduce new concepts and refurbish the cafes. There is a real sense of collaborative innovation and we are all looking forward to the next four years at the venue."

Part of the Crown Group, Kudos provides large-scale catering, hospitality and events marketing for a variety of high-profile venues.

Recent deals include a £3m contract with MediaCityUK, an £800,000 deal with Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge, and a £10m deal with the Harrogate International Centre.

It also runs an "Haute Dog" van serving gourmet hot dogs, in Harrogate town centre.
