2013 will mark the first year of the annual Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards created to celebrate the finest food and drink talent in the UK media.
For over three centuries, Fortnum & Mason have been passionate about seeking out and championing the very best producers in the country and now seeks to acknowledge those in the industry who share its commitment to inspiring people to enjoy, explore, try, taste and discover more about food and drink through their writing, photography and commentary.
The awards, which will take place on 14 May 2013, will recognise UK talent across 10 categories, including Best Food Book, Best Drink Book, Best Food Writer, Best Drink Writer and Best Television Programme.
The overall winners will be decided by a panel of food and drink experts, including Angela Hartnett, Tom Parker Bowles, Xanthe Clay, Hamish Anderson, Fiona Beckett and Peter Richards MW.
