Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons wins four trophies at the Springboard Awards

Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons was the big winner at last night's Springboard Awards, picking up four gongs.

More than 600 people from across the hospitality industry attended the ceremony held at the Novotel London West London that saw the luxury Oxfordshire hotel take home awards for: Education Pipeline, Best Student Placement, Best Recruitment Initiative and the Young People Award.

Philip Newman-Hall (pictured), director and general manager, said: "To win four awards in one night is absolutely amazing and I'm delighted for the whole team as it is a team effort."

Sodexo's craft and food development director, David Mulcahy, was also honoured at the event, taking home the Chris Beaumont Award in recognition of his loyal contribution and support of Springboard's FutureChef programme over the past 12 years.

He described the initiative as one that was very close to his heart, adding: "It's great that I, along with Sodexo, can have a positive impact on these young people's lives and something which I hope to continue doing for many more years to come."

Other winners included:

Commenting on Vintage Inns' Best Food & Beverage Strategy award, head of HR Alison Bradbury said: "We have made a great effort to address real business needs and approach them in a way that would not only make a profit but to do it in a fun way that engages everyone."

Sue Parfett, managing partner at the Brookwood Partnership, which won the New Media Award, said: "Earlier this year, we took the decision to revamp our website and embrace the world of social media. The results have been fantastic and we are delighted that our effort to engage with potential employees in this way has been recognised within the industry.

"With so many people now looking to social media for quick access to information, it seemed the obvious investment to make."
