Levy Restaurants to launch NY-LON bar at London's O2
Foodservice company Levy Restaurants is to launch and manage NY-LON, a new bar in London's O2, honouring the New York-London airline route from O2 partners Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines.
The 6,000 sq ft, 300-capacity aviation-themed bar will be open seven days a week, and have a menu inspired by cuisine from both the UK and US, while the drinks menu will focus on air travel-themed cocktails.
There will also be a large seating area intended as a location for less formal business meetings during the day, as well as a base for corporate entertaining, social events, and parties. There will also be a separate, smaller space available for private functions.
Service and style will be designed around the hospitality experience at which the companies aim when actually flying, and feature a blend of their two styles. Manchester design agency LOVE have created the interior décor.
Reuben Arnold, senior vice President of marketing and customer experience at Virgin Atlantic, said: "We've created NY-LON as a celebration of our trans-Atlantic network. Our lounge bar will offer customers a brand-new experience at The O2 that showcases our airlines' service."
Tim Mapes, Delta's Senior Vice President of Marketing added: "The iconic cities of New York and London are at the heart of everything we do. Opening NY-LON is the next exciting step in our partnership and we look forward to helping travellers enjoy the Delta-Virgin Atlantic brand of hospitality for which we're famous when they next visit The O2."
Levy Restaurants UK is the sports, leisure and hospitality arm of Compass Group UK. Its portfolio includes Chelsea Football Club, Somerset House, Earls Court Olympia, Salisbury Cathedral, Edinburgh Zoo and Wembley Arena.
The Virgin Atlantic-Delta Air Lines partnership provides ten flights a day between London Heathrow and New York, including eight to New York-JFK and two to Newark.
