Linda Halliday to retire from food service management firm WSH

Linda Halliday, founding director of food service management firm WSH has announced that she will retire from the business next month.

Halliday's career in the food service industry has spanned almost 30 years. Following a successful career with Compass Group, Halliday went to work with her husband in their business Halliday Catering, which went on to become part of WSH in 2000.

She stayed with the business in the role of HR director, supporting its operating brands BaxterStorey and BaxterStorey Ireland, benugo, Cater Link, Holroyd Howe Independent and Portico.

Commenting on her news, Linda Halliday said: "Being part of such a fantastic business makes me exceptionally proud and with all of the WSH operations in such great shape, I feel confident that now is a good time to hand over the reins. The industry is my passion and I will certainly remain a very active member of its community"

Halliday has played an active role within a number of charities including industry focused Hospitality Action and Springboard, which she will continue to support. In addition, she is currently a governor for Westminster Kingsway College.

Halliday was the awarded the Contract Caterer of the Year Catey award in 2003 and in 2008 Springboard awarded her the Chris Beaumont for outstanding contribution in recognition of her support and fundraising efforts.

Alastair Storey, WSH chairman and chief executive, added: "Linda's contribution to our success cannot be overlooked. Her focus, dedication and vision have played an immense role in shaping our business and in enabling it to become the place to work in our sector. We will miss Linda and wish her well in all she does in the future."
