Lindley Venue Catering scores six years at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club
Lindley Venue Catering has scored a six-year catering and events management contract at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club (GCCC) worth £6.8m.
The new appointment comes after the Bristol-based club received planning permission to undertake an extensive development programme at the Nevil Road ground.
The sports stadia catering division of Lindley Group was awarded a single-season deal with GCCC last April, with responsibility for managing all of the match-day and non-match-day catering and events.
Lindley, which also manages the catering at Bristol City FC's Ashton Gate Stadium, was subsequently invited to tender for the longer-term six-year contract.
Tom Richardson, GCCC chief executive, said that working with Lindley over the 2012 season allowed the club to gain an insight into the way the caterer works.
Adam Elliott, Lindley Group´s chief executive, commented: "Gloucestershire CCC has been very clear in its ambition both to attract more supporters to the ground for one-day international and domestic cricket matches, and to make Bristol County Ground a central hub for the local community and businesses.
"The new development opens up a whole range of opportunities to make much greater use of the new facilities and we are delighted to have been selected as the club's catering and events partner from the inception of the new plans."
