London chefs to feature at Food 4 Art pop-up

Chefs from Barrafina, Gymkhana, Clove Club and the Colony Grill Room are set to team up with event caterer Absolute Taste at Food 4 Art, the pop-up restaurant at art fair Art15.

Nieves Barragan Mohacho, executive chef and partner at the recently Michelin-starred Barrafina, will kick off the four-day event at London's Olympia by providing the food for the collectors preview and first night.

She will be followed by Gymkhana's Karam Sethi, Clove Club's Isaac McHale, who will be joined by co-founders Daniel Willis and Johnny Smith, and Lee Ward from Corbin & King's Colony Grill Room, located inside their Mayfair hotel, the Beaumont.

The chefs were invited by Fay Maschler, restaurant critic at the Evening Standard, who said: "There is particular pleasure in pushing at open doors and in my experience ace chefs and restaurateurs are always keen to be allied to art and also engage with an international audience alive to all the senses."

Caterer Absolute Taste, headed by Lyndy Redding, will be working with the chefs to prepare the menus for Food 4 Art.

Redding commented: "The experience for my chefs to work alongside [these amazing chefs] is very inspirational and exciting, and gives them another insight into the world of restaurants, which is invaluable.

"The whole process is a journey with each of them and all slightly different, which is one of the things we love about doing what we do."

Art15 takes place from 20-23 May 2015 hosting 150 galleries representing 40 countries and 500 artists. Now in its third year, the fair is expected to welcome more than 30,000 collectors and art fans to Olympia over the four days.
