Longer-life fresh milk from Pritchitts

Lakeland dairy company Pritchitts has launched Fresh Viva Milk, a variety it claims marries the nutritional and taste benefits of fresh pasteurised milk with the storage convenience of UHT milk. This is achieved by super-pasteurising the milk to extend its shelf life in the fridge to 45 days, reducing both wastage and cost. It is recommended especially for use in chilled vending, schools, garage forecourts, travel and leisure outlets and theme parks. Fresh Viva Milk comes in a 200ml carton with a straw and is sold through major wholesalers in packs of 27. It is available only in a semi-skimmed version as the whole-milk variety was discontinued with the advent of new school meal guidelines.
