Lord of the Rings inspired pub to open in Birmingham

A pub in Birmingham has been renovated taking inspiration from JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

The Huntsman in Harborne, Birmingham, will open at the end of the month after a £40,000 refurbishment.

Central to the design will be a large tree, which the owner Aman Rishi believes will create a Middle Earth feel, while open books will be used as lamp shades and appear to float in mid-air.

Rishi told the Birmingham Post: "I'm excited to be venturing into something completely different from my salon background, and particularly about the look and feel we are going for with The Huntsman.

"My hopes are that it will be a fun celebration of JRR Tolkien's literature and poetry, giving Harborne High Street a mystical touch and patrons a chance to swap their usual quiet drinks for a few enchanted hours in the magical, Lord of the Rings inspired world of The Huntsman."
