Lord's Events to open new event space

The owner of Lord's Cricket Ground, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), has announced a new contemporary dining experience and events space will open in May this year at the London-based club.

It will offer year-round availability for a range of events from breakfast meetings, corporate dinners and receptions to private lunches and weddings and will have the capacity for 136 seated, 165 standing and 150 theatre-style.

Nick Kenton, head of sales for meetings, events and hospitality at MCC said: "We are delighted to be able to offer this brand new events space and contemporary dining experience for 2017, offering more flexibility to both our corporate and private guests. The new Pelham's venue is a multi-purpose room which can be used for all sorts of occasions as well as for members on certain match days.

"We have expanded the Lord's events offering considerably by being able to offer this new space which is flooded with natural light and offers spectacular views across the Ground. At the same time, sustainability has been at the top of our minds as we look to the future and the new Warner Stand has been built with renewable materials and eco-friendly features. We are really looking forward to welcoming our first guests to Pelham's in May 2017."
