Lusso wins £315k deal at Allianz corporate HQ
City caterer Lusso has won new business with insurance provider Allianz Global Corporate & Specialtyat its new corporate headquarters in London's Gracechurch Street.
The £315,000 contract officially commenced on 25 October and sees a team of 10 Lusso staff manage on-site catering for 650 Allianz employees in their new staff restaurant, named Benet's after the 16th-century church, St Benet Gracechurch, which once occupied the site.
Lusso also manages a Costa coffee bar located in the lower atrium within the building, as well as extensive hospitality for the firm within eight dining rooms on the eighth floor.
The independent caterer had previously managed catering for Allianz Insurance across two sites in London and Surrey before the consolidation of Allianz's commercial properties in the City.
Paul Hurren, managing director of Lusso, said: "Allianz's relocation has presented us with an exciting opportunity to develop our food offering within a stunning new corporate environment. As always, the emphasis is on seasonality and on fresh, locally-sourced, affordable food choices throughout the working day.
"We invited our client to visit some of our other City-based contracts to see first-hand the difference we could make and she was ‘wowed' by what she saw."
Lusso, whose clients include BDO LLP, Hogan Lovells and Investec Bank, employs 398 staff in and beyond the City and current annual turnover stands at £15.5m.
