Malcolm Arnold Academy invites expressions of interest for the provision of the catering service at the academy

Malcolm Arnold Academy, sponsored by the David Ross Foundation, opened in September 2010. It serves a large and diverse catchment in the town of Northampton. The academy has embarked upon an ambitious and extensive process of rapid development and transformational improvement to help its students achieve the very best they can, both in and outside the classroom.

The academy seeks a catering contractor with creativity, flair and imagination to enhance and support the academy and sponsor's vision to broaden our young people's horizons, providing them with excellent teaching and learning, alongside wide ranging academic and co-curricular opportunities, in outstanding, state of the art facilities. The chosen caterer will develop and enhance the good quality, profitable catering service to our 1200+ student and staff population and share the academy's commitment to developing and instilling the benefits of healthy eating and living.

The service will include the provision of food at breakfast, break and lunchtime that is nutritionally sound and in line with government standards. There are additional requirements for tailored services throughout the academy day for sixth form students, staff and visitors.

The contract will run from 1st September 2012 to 31st August 2015 with an option to extend for a further two years by mutual agreement. In the longer term, there may be the possibility to negotiate extended provision to service a number of primary academies within the local area as the David Ross Education Trust develops clusters of academies within the region.

Caterers wishing to express an interest in operating the services at Malcolm Arnold Academy should demonstrate their interest by requesting an information pack and pre-qualification questionnaire from: Mr Howard Parkinson, Business Manager at h.parkinson@malcolmarnoldacademy.co.uk.

All initial information will be sent by email. The closing date for receipt of pre-qualification questionnaires is 15th June at 4pm.
