Mellors nears 200 sites with £1m school contract win

Mellors Catering Services, the northern operated contract catering business within the education and B&I sectors, has won a school catering contract worth just under £1m.

The caterer clinched a three-year deal with the option to extend or a further two years at St Michael's in Chorley, along with another three schools to open shortly.

It will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to pupils at the Church of England Academy High School, promoting healthy eating and using local produce and suppliers.

Mark Timmerman, managing director of Mellors Catering Services, said: "The contract strengthens its plans to reach 200 sites by the summer of 2017, now at 198, so almost there!"

A total of five businesses tendered for the contract.
