Michel Roux Jnr becomes Springboard patron

Celebrity chef Michel Roux Jnr has become a patron of industry charity Springboard.

The chef-patron of the two-Michelin-starred Le Gavroche in London and co-presenter of the BBC's MasterChef the Professionals has become the latest high profile patron of Springboard, which helps unemployed and disadvantaged people into careers in hospitality.

Roux said: "I am thrilled to have become a patron of Springboard, a charity which does incredible work on behalf of many disadvantaged young people, helping the next generation to achieve its full potential.

"Encouraging the pursuit of careers in the hospitality industry is a cause close to my heart, and one which I am so proud to be affiliated with."
