Mount Charles Group confirms £5m of deals
Irish foodservice company the Mount Charles Group has announced £5m-worth of new contracts and 21% increase in revenue for the past year.
It also confirmed a 40% increase in revenue over the past two years, thanks to expansion and a wider variety of services.
Its most recent contract win was a catering and vending services deal worth €500,000 (£367,420) per year, with one of the largest employers in the North West Ireland region.
Cathal Geoghegan (pictured), managing director of the Mount Charles Group, said: "The past five years have been a period of rapid growth for us, achieved in the main through the diversification and expansion of our services. The business has evolved significantly, and we've been looking at new markets as well as new services."
The company offers catering, retail and vending packages, but also has a £4m cleaning division, along with a security operation, and recently partnered with transit and security company the RMS Group.
Its other contract deals in recent years have included a £7m agreement with the Southern Regional College in Northern Ireland in 2014; a five-year University of Ulster in-house catering deal in 2013; a food and drink project at Exeter Airport, expected to turnover £10m; and a £2.5m catering and hospitality deal at the Giant's Causeway visitor centre and hotel in 2012.
Founded 25 years ago, the Mount Charles Group now employs over 1,600 staff across Ireland and Great Britain.
