Mount Charles Group wins Giant's Causeway contract
Belfast caterer Mount Charles Group has been appointed sole catering and hospitality provider at the new Giant's Causeway visitor centre and Causeway hotel.
The £2.5m deal with the National Trust will see Northern Ireland's largest independent caterer begin managing the facilities when the centre opens in July.
The Causeway hotel is currently closed for refurbishment but is expected to reopen to the public before the St Patrick's Day holiday on 17 March.
Commenting on the contract win, Mount Charles managing director Trevor Annon (pictured on the left) said: "We knew the tendering process would be challenging as one would expect from an organisation such as the National Trust, and it is all the more rewarding that we, as an indigenous Northern Ireland company, secured the contract within what was a highly competitive process."
Graham Thompson (pictured on the right), project director for the Giant's Causeway, said: "Great progress continues to be made with the new visitor facilities at the Giant's Causeway. It's very exciting realizing that we are on a countdown to open what will be a world class visitor experience."
He added: "It is particularly pleasing to be working with a Northern Irish company that provides excellent customer services and strives for excellence."
