Moving Venue wins contract for Mercury Prize Albums of the Year

London caterer Moving Venue has won the contract to cater for 1,000 guests at the Barclaycard Mercury Prize Albums of the Year event next month.

The prestigious music awards ceremony will be held at the Roundhouse, Camden, on 1 November - the first year the annual event will be held outside a London hotel.

The Mercury awards will be the seventh major event that Moving Venue has catered for at the Roundhouse in the past two years.

Neil Ormondroyd, head of events at the Roundhouse, said: "One of the key factors for the team at the Mercury Prize choosing the Roundhouse is the really strong list of caterers available for clients to use.

"I have complete confidence that Moving Venue will meet and surpass the guests' expectations at this year's event."

Dan Johnson-Allen, director of catering at Moving Venue, added: "It was a real triumph for our team to win this fantastic contract, not least because of the huge amount of effort we put into providing solutions for logistical challenges before they were even presented to us.

"This allowed the team from the Mercury Prize to really relax and enjoy the quality of our food when they came for a tasting, as they were assured we had the ability to organise an event of this scale."
