OCS wins six-month contract with Lisburn Council, N. Ireland

Foodservice firm OCS has won a new six-month catering contract with Lisburn City Council, Country Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Since November this year, the company has provided the catering for conference and events centre Lagan Valley Island, whose remit can include civic dinners, conferences, wedding receptions and banquets, as well as tea and coffee for meetings. OCS is also operating the bars for theatre performances and other events.

The contract was signed for an initial six months, with the potential to be extended for another six months after that.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

UK managing director of facilities services at OCS Jane Sheard said: "Lagan Valley Island is one of Northern Ireland's premier venues offering civic, business and arts facilities. OCS is expertly positioned to support them in delivering catering across the range of conferences, meetings and events."

Family-owned company OCS Group operates in more than 40 countries across the world, employing more than 85,000 people. Its contracts in the UK include NHS hospitals, office workplaces and sports venues. It offers catering as well as other services such as document management, security and hygiene.
