Olive Catering Services introduces street food offer

Olive Catering Services, the independent food service caterer, has launched a new street food-inspired offer called The Kerb.

The company, which was launched 10 years ago, is rolling out the Asian and South American-inspired food-on-the-go concept across its portfolio of more than 100 client restaurants. It is an essential part of the group's focus on offering personal service, more bespoke menu solutions and freshly cooked food.

For the first phase of The Kerb, Olive is producing a range of fresh, noodle-based dishes, influenced by Indonesian and Thai cooking. Further options, using flavours from Indian and South American street cooking, will be introduced in 2015.

To add a sense of theatre and encourage customer interest, Olive has designed an authentic looking timber shack featuring an induction hob within the counter top area, where chefs can cook the noodle-based in just one minute.

Jacqui Mee, director of food for Olive, said: "People have high expectations of their staff restaurant and we want to make mealtimes a highlight of the working day by giving people new reasons to visit at every opportunity. It is vital therefore that we offer the complete package in a contract catering environment.
